hi,
i am trying out this parameter on the domino 6.0.3 clustered pair of servers; running win2k sp4.
customer would like to archive the log files after 21 days, but in order to test that the parameter works, i'm shortening it to one day:
so in the notes.ini i key in the following
Log=LOG.NSF, 1, 0, 1, 8000
the syntax is:
Log=logfilename, log_option, not_used, days, size
where:
Setting
Description
logfilename
Log database file name, for example Log.nsf
log_option
These are as follows:
1 = Log to the console
2 = Force database fixup when opening the log file
3 (not currently used, reserved)
4 = Full document scan
not_used
This is always zero days
Number of days to save log documents size
Size of log text (in bytes) in event documents
Q:
after 3 days, all the events in misc are still there. can someone pls advise if there's some kind of dependency for this parameter or if it oes not work in 6.0.3
